Alot of people don't like Kyle. He's not my favorite, but I don't mind seeing him win. He's got more talent behind the wheel of a stock car, than most of the field put together.

He can be a real dick when things don't go his way, but seemed like a class act last night.

He has passion for what he does. Even Rusty Wallace stated there really isn't anyone better in the sport right now who knows their way around the race car. Although he admitted many newer drivers aren't allowed to know because their teams won't let them.

Excited to see the #5 again. Loved seeing Terry Labonte, Kyle Busch, and Mark Martin in it. Kahne was ok too.

Funny story . Kyle wrecked the 5 car bad one day and got mad and left the track . Dale Jr wrecked his car a few laps later . They asked Dale to drive the 5 for the points since Kyle left . Dale did and said on the radio that the tore up 5 ran better than his car did before he wrecked it . That just shows how Kyle can set a car up .

Do you all think the 14 had a better car last night ? We never know for sure but he would have maybe pushed the 18 hard enough where he ran out of gas . The 14 finally had a hotrod and they don't get it full of fuel :frusty: .

I remember that race too. At the time I liked both drivers so I was very excited to see that, knowing Dale Jr was likely to leave DEI at the time and hoping he'd join Kyle at HMS. I didn't realize it would be at the expense of Busch, but it seems to have worked out.

Whoever is in the lead with this package tends to have the best car. I don't mean that facetiously though. Cars rarely seem to move more than 4 positions in a single green flag run outside of restarts, starting at the back, or an ill-handling car.

Part of that is just having the clean air too. A car might be well balanced in clean air, but tight and can't turn in as well if they're the pack.

Correct. Aero advantage is huge with this package. It is why the racing is closer, but not better. You just plain can't pass without just the right run on mile and a half tracks. Super aero dependent. We used to only see this sort of thing at Indy and Pocono.

This aero package is fucking horrible. When everyone is holding wide open, you can't pass. They need to make the car drive like shit again, put it back in the drivers hands. What nascar has done, is build a full bodied, "stock car" version of F1. Fucking sucks.

Even though it will never happen, I would really like a return to factory sheet metal. Leave the aero to the manufacturers. Move away from the pony cars and back to sedans (big enough for the clearances needed for the roll cages and other safety features).

That’s the second time they threw a caution when he was gonna go two laps down.

If they were legitimately helping him, they would have thrown the caution to get him back on the lead lap. Way too late for it to make a difference now.
