It’s opened or closed based on weather. It rained recently so it may currently be closed.

Looks like the county keeps that info up-to-date at the link you shared, so will keep an eye on that. Appreciate it.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
This week's tour agenda includes a beautiful scenic bi-way of Cottonwood road, traveling out of the Historic town of Tuolumne.

We will head up approximately 3/4 the way to Cherry Lake and pause for a few moments to enjoy the fresh air... and allow Matt to look for his wife's phone that was lost in the snow when Matt's dumbass got stuck (a few weeks ago).

From there we will retrace our route back to 3N01 where we will head towards Longbarn checking gates as we go to see what's open. If we are lucky (gate is unlocked), we will cut north on 3N21 o 3N29 and bounce up the Majestic Clavey river scoping camping spots, clearing roads, and seeing how far we can make it (moving towards Dodge Ridge) before we hit a locked gate.

Chainsaws may be useful on this particular Sunday drive.

    Sunday 5/2
    Usual meet up locations

    8:00 Raley's: 1550 East F St in Oakdale
9:00 Speedway: 13778 Mono Way in Sonora

    HAM 146.460

    The usual
Did a little fishing at Silver Lake by Kit Carson place, caught a few trout. Mormon Emigrant Trail is technically closed until the 30th, the gate is down, but you can go around it. There are a few trees down on the top, but it's passable although tight.

Also went to Oak Beach in Granite Bay. You can wheel on what used to be the lake and set up shop. It's $12 if you don't have state park pass, it would be great spot to do a meet up. It's close, so easy on the gas, there are some trails around, can bring floating things, and set up some grilling/chilling operation. I believe you have to be inconspicuous with beer, not sure if it's 'allowed.' Check 2nd pic

So I'm kicking the idea of camping Usal and/or Blues Beach N of Ft Bragg for Memorial weekend. Drove around onto Blues Beach when I was in Mendo a couple weeks ago. Met a local who wants me to take her camping this summer, and I certainly can't say no! Everything I've seen makes it seem pretty doable, just a little concerned going alone without a winch or maxtrax. I'm sure I won't be the only one up there, seems like a popular spot so I'm sure I could beg the kindness of a fellow camper if we got into a situation. @71tattooguy I know you were just up there not long ago, but you're lifted a bit correct? I'm stock height on 265/75s.
Thoughts, advice? Anybody want to join? May just end up at Blues Beach to get my feet wet. Lots of mountain camping, zero Beach camping experience for me...

I was planning on doing the same. It was either Usal or head east towards Masonic and Bodie. You’ll be fine to Usal. 2wd and Subarus make it up there. Photo of my stock with no lift.

Ok well that's reassuring, she been there a couple times and kinda said the same thing. Just want to make a good impression on her our first trip out! ;)

I would be down for a Bowman trip, my sister scored one of the late release river spots at Yosemite for the 4th-11th, so I told her I'm gonna come crash her party the 5th and 6th, but either of those weekends after that should work for me!
