    Yep. Definitely toasted

No idea. Don't think it was too much fluid. It could have been heat. Looks like the bearing retainer let go and then the ball bearings just started to reek havoc.

Yeah indirectly. The gears (housing) can’t dissipate the heat of all that fluid, so pressure builds and pops a seal. Fluids leak out and the resulting heat takes out everything…

I’ve seen it with axles but not with a tcase. Just spit balling.

Causes overpressure in the cases sometimes.

German Shorthairs might possibly be the best breed ever. Mine died well over 20 years ago and I still miss his personality. Smart fucking dogs. Start the training now because they are smart enough to think they rule the relationship. lol

German Wirehairs are pretty cool too. Might be biased though

I grew up hunting labs, and now I have two small muts, but I’ve really been wanting to get a Brittany. They are suppose to be similar to shorthairs but with a little less energy

My grandpa had a few Brittany's that I hunted over. While not as pig-headed as GSP's they are still a handful. Any gun dog, labs excluded, requires a lot a training and patience. Well worth it though.

He’s pretty well trained, well enough I can bring him to the office everyday. Get compliments on his training a lot. But every once in a while, he needs to be reminded who’s boss

That's not gonna change. They have this defiant streak in them. Mine was well trained by 9 months. At 12 years old he still did shit once in a while just to piss me off. The looks he gave me during those events where priceless. If you could describe his look in words during those times it would be: "Bring it motherfucker!"

Riley grew up in the office. He could be hyper or chill. Many desirable traits. I’d take him camping and he’d be off doing his thing in a hot minute. I attribute his behavior to puppy training and socialization having been raised in the office and being walked with so many people. Plus, his life, in the beginning, was highly structured.

Hopefully, I’ll find another like him.

You can boondock just about anywhere on the 101 from Fort Bragg to Oregon.
Usal trail is out and back but worth it for sure.
It’s north of Fort Bragg and West of Leggit. It’s pretty easy to find.
Around Crescent City are the Towla? sand dunes, I think you can camp there.
In Coos Bay OR There’s a RV camp spot that’s pretty nice but a bit pricey, may be other camping as well and if you keep going north there’s more dunes and an OR state park.
Fort Stevens state park Astoria…. I’ve not made it that far but I’ve heard you can just pull in and camp anywhere there.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I think my truck is finally at a point where I want to do some snow bashing this year. I'm in for that.

Also... we need to get a group together to cut Christmas trees. Hoping someone that knows the logistics of this can chime in. I've heard it can be a pain in the ass, but I'd like to check in to it.

Not enough to have a build thread.
First and foremost, get permits the day they’re available. They sell out quick.

I did it one year up by UTC. Just have to get a map from the ranger station so you know what’s off limits. Not much more to it than that as far as I know
