2021 OR - Dashboard lights change brightness with headlights on

Hey Gang,

So I had a 2016 Sport that didn't do this - so I'm guessing it's a "feature" in my 2021.

In any vehicle I've ever owned, display lights would dim with headlights on (dash, radio, etc). In my new truck, they get dim, and get bright, and get dim depending on outside light conditions.

Driving today in the rain (with my headlights on) the dash changed brightness frequently, and it was pretty distracting.

Is there a setting to fix this? I looked in the manual and searched here, and didn't find anything.

Could be different with my 2019.. But If you have the headlights set to auto it will automatically turn the dash lights on/off with the headlights.

I get around the on off annoyance by just setting headlights to "on" instead of auto

 

This is awesome. So this sensitivity is for that switching as well? I had the lights "on" (not auto), and they switched anyways. I'll check it out, thank you!
