A boutique colored Pro with a diminished resale value? Declining value over the years to a certain value yes.
But a diminished value due to its "boutique" color. I think not.

Then please explain why white vehicles, all other things being equal, usually have higher resale value. Demand, that's why. Because it is preferred over other color choices, appealing to a wider spectrum of buyers. So undeniably there is a certain and definite "hierarchy" of color preferences. Lunar Rock Metallic, and the other flat/matte color selections are a "niche" color palate appealing to a unique buyer. A smaller market of buyers. Basic Adam Smith stuff.

    I rest my case.

Okay, I'll bite: First, these articles are talking about CARS son, not trucks. BeCuz', you know, there are just a bunch of testosterone-fueled adrenaline junkies out there driving WHITE Ford F250's BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T FIND A FUCKIN' YELLOW OR ORANGE Platinum Edition on the Ford lot. I GUESS BECAUSE THE ORANGE, YELLOW, FUSCIA AND MAGENTA POWERSTROKES ARE ALL SOLD BEFORE THEY EVEN HIT THE LOT, YA' THINK???!!! So they just settled? Insert Sam Kennison idiot yell here:

We are talking trucks here, not soccer-mom cars. BIG difference.

I'll be picking up a LR Tacoma in about 2 weeks, and I'm honestly so stoked. Haters gonna hate, but this color's unique and looks really great in person, especially with all the black accents to contrast the light color.

Cool! If you're happy with the color that's all that matters. Enjoy your new truck.

Yep. I agree. I ordered one a few weeks ago, (still no idea on when it'll show up) but a lot of the color haters probably haven't seen it in real life. It's a stunning color. Way more military than it looks in most photos and on video. If its a shit camera it can look like mint ice cream, but in real life its more like a bad ass dusty sagebrush, mill-spec cerakote foliage green, especially with all the Pro black accents.

I ordered a 21 Tundra Pro in Lunar Rock. The color is a lot more complex in person, this video shows how it can look just like cement, have a darker smoky tint, have the green tint, and even have a blue tint in low light.

Most 'odd' colors always have a fan base...
(from my experience with old (classic) European cars).

White gets re-painted another color. Black needs painting every few years! :)

In 20 years, the color schemes in vogue may be dramatically different. (we can only hope!) Everything may be in the Lunar Rock Scheme.

When the first European non-metallic colors started showing up in the US - no one liked them.... now they are popular.

I like lunar Rock in person. It does not photograph well... This one shot looks close on my screen...

I like non-mettallic colours. And I like non Silver, white, or black as most cars on the road these days!

With the exception of purples, some of the more odd-duck colors tend to have the most charm (and sometimes the most value) years later.

Like, the "Spring Green" and "Pumkin Orange" FJ40s
