Kind of in the same boat as you - my wife drives an '05 Xterra (we both just love it actually) but know we will be wanting to upgrade eventually. Waiting to see what the new generation 4Runner has in store before making a decision on some new SUV. Apart from the "strawberry milkshake of death" potential with those Xterras, I really like them... gonna be hard to say good bye.

Yeah the current Ranger is an old design from overseas, l think the next Generation will be a better design instead of a compromise. The upcoming Bronco uses the next Generation Ranger platform so they can probably do a few cool things with it.

Looks good, obviously a bit like the Taco but I don't get why the hate, everyone on the industry copies each other.

If anything it looks more like a mini Nissan warrior concept which still looks more badass than anything toyota has come up with.

Looks like a decent but not overall better alternative to the Taco, specially if that 9 speed trans behaves the same way it does on the titan.

If Nissan wanted to leapfrog the Tacoma they should have shoved a supercharged or 5.6 v8 engine in their pro 4x so missed opportunity there..

Make the ranger a baby trophy truck and they'll sell like hotcakes. Or just bring the US the ranger raptor. I love the Tacoma but the ranger raptor overseas is a awesome truck.

Knowing Ford they're probably only going to offer a 4 banger turbo ecoboost version, for better or for worse. I think a lot of members on here appreciate having a NA V6 engine for simplicity and reliability sake.

I mean, I dig it. It looks great. But it's so Tacoma it's not even funny. The front lines, the tailgate, the fender flairs. Hell, even the wheels look just like the OR's. Then you get to the interior. Ooofff. Yep, that's a Nissan.

I hear you. By the way, they also announced a new Pathfinder today. Just saying.

If they do that, then Toyota will finally have to stop everything and bring the Hilux here ... if they do that it will be game over ...

Me too. Inside and out, right down to the shift knob, cluster and wheels.
    Kind of embarrassing, really.

No Nissan announced the Titan Warrior concept a few years ago and it never got made.

Huge missed opportunity, everyone loved it and it probably would have become really popular if they got the power train right..

Ken, could you please point to that somewhere on the truck. Anywhere at all would be just fine.

Got it. Sorry. Misunderstood your post.

That is a good looking truck. The new Frontier, not bad either.
