Which lights are you going with? I wish they made something like this for the 5th Gen 4Runner, it looks perfect.

I am probably sticking with lights I already have, I took off a bunch of lights from the Tundra I traded in for this Tacoma.
    To name a few
    Auxbeam 9 inch driving lights
Diode Dynamics ss3 pro fog amber
    Diode dynamics ss2 sport combo
Baja Designs squadron pro fog amber
Baja Designs squadron pro combo white
    Rigid Industries DSS-Pro combo
    Novsight Halo series 3inch pods

I will stop, you can already tell I have a problem lol

Installed Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro Fog (amber) to the factory fog spot. Night and day difference.

Beautiful truck. Love that army green color on the Tacoma. I'm also trying to keep my Taco as lightweight and close to stock as possible, so was specially interested in your thread. An old time off-roader told me once that weight is the enemy of off-roading. Especially since our trucks have such low weight tolerances.

One mini-mod I did on my truck that you may be interested in is Mountain Hatch USA tailgate cover. It replaces the corrugated plastic cover with what they call a tailgate table. Just went camping and it was great to have a flat surface to cook on and such. Also helps out my poor knees when I climb into the bed.

It is funny, though, you're getting rid of your Tundra and when (if) I ever replace my Tacoma it may be with a Tundra!

Thank you for the kind words, I love my tundra and had to get rid of it due to recent health issue (lower back disc herniation). It was modified to be a offroad warrior and due to my back issue it was too tall for me to handle. Local toyota dealer gave me a great deal on the Tundra to make it an even trade with this tacoma.
I kind of learned my lesson of not going all out with the tacoma from my experience with the tundra and 4runner.
I checked out the mountain hatch tailgate cover and it looks nice, when I am ready to go out and camping I will be sure to order something like that for my Tacoma.
I still miss my Tundra T_T But being able to get 20+mpg on the highway is very nice!

Agreed! When I was much younger, I had a 62 Chevy panel van. I dropped the engine and threw in bigger cams because I thought it would be cool. I guess in a way it was, but my mileage went from low 20s to low teens. I was lucky if I got 16mpg on the highway.

Made a video showing how I undercoat my Tacoma to prevent rust, I used two products

    Rustoleum Rust Reformer https://amzn.to/3Im0I6t

    CRC Rust Inhibitor https://amzn.to/48H70rY

They worked great on my previous Tundra so I am doing it again with the TACOMA

Installed Diode Dynamics C1R pod in the back next to license plate, I wanted a red color rear fog light that can also be served as a chase light.
I like how DD's C1R has three modes, bright white for reverse, dim red for running light, and bright red I will be wiring into the switch panel for rear fog/chase.

Thank you! I didn't want to compromise the option to tow so had to be creative.

I love how you installed the C1R in the bumper. Just like you, I'd like to install one of those pods, but I don't want to get the hitch mount for how frequently I'd be using the hitch.

When I checked DD's website, the flush mount pod didn't come with the same 7 pin harness like the hitchmount version. Can you give a bit more details on how you wired up the pod?

    Thanks!

Thanks! I don't know why I had so much trouble finding the harness on their site.

EDIT: Placed my order. Just FYI, your code successfully applied to the order, but didn't provide any savings. Hopefully you got some credit for the sale, though.
