    We had the same issue with our Tacoma. Worked great for months, then all of a sudden CarPlay would not connect. After trying everything in this thread with no luck, I simply held the power button down on the radio and it reset. I then plugged in our phone via USB and CarPlay popped up. You may want to add this to the list before taking to the dealership.
