So in looking at buying a 2021 Tacoma with v6 auto with 43000 miles. I’m being offered an extended bumper to bumper warranty for additional 3000. Are there any known issues I should be concerned with? Should I be considering the extended warranty? From what I understand these things are pretty reliable correct?
    Thanks

This thread will quickly turn into a pissing match on the merits of a warranty. I will add to reach out to this guy below. You’re out of the comprehensive warranty already, so prices in the warranty thread will be lower than you can get. But touch base with him for sure.

Not necessary in general terms - unless you see any issues specific to that particular truck...
Do you have the service history? Carfax / toyota owner's data? Anthing indicating any areas of concern?

Also - Who issues the warranty and what does the warranty cover for thise $3000?

    Ridiculous price.

Make sure if you do buy something that it's genuine Toyota, not a 3rd party product which tend to be filled with small print that is not in your favor.

It is a factory Toyota warranty 8 yr 100,000 mile. It was a leased pick up with service all documented. Pretty much just oil changes.

There is a reason it's called a "Toyota." Skip the warranty, take the money you would have spent on that, and squirrel it away against any future repairs. Stuff is going to happen somewhere down the line, but it's a Toyota so less likely than other brands. Enjoy your new truck!

I bought my 21 TRD OR in November of 2020 and have had no issues. Of course I only have 9600 miles on it right now.
