2021 Tacoma Refresh?

Has anyone heard of a 2021 Tacoma Refresh coming?

one of the off-roader/Overland Youtubers put up a survey in his Instagram page asking what they were most excited for in 2021. One of the options was “2021 Tacoma Refresh”.

I messaged him and he replied “it is supposed to be coming”. I asked a follow up and he didn’t reply.

just wondering if anyone here is aware of anything. I cannot find anything online. Everything I see just points to 4th gen in 2024 for 2025 model years.

 

You heard wrong

 

Toyota did a minor refresh in 2020 with power driver seat, CarPlay, and optional LED headlights. They also introduced the Trail Edition. 2021 is basically unchanged and I doubt Toyota would do a mid-year refresh on the Taco. Especially since they just did a refresh in 2020. Sounds more like the YouTuber is looking for clicks and likes.

 

That's the problem with social media influencers, spread bullshit in order to get clicks. The soonest we'll know of any changes for 2022 will be late May or June. The 2021 isn't getting anything new

AFAIK, the only change was that the V6 models (or maybe it was SR5+) all got standard dual zone climate control for 2021.
