2021 Tacoma SR has Power Locks but no remote

Can a remote be added? It is a Crew Cab V6 4X4

I just bought a 2021, and it has one year free Toyota "Connected Services". You can start the engine, lock and unlock doors, and a bunch of other stuff. It is free for the first year, then about $10 per month. I doubt if I'll get it after the first year.

 

Are you talking about remote start, or a remote keyfob to lock/unlock the doors?

This system works like a charm.
I added it to my 2018 and am very satisfied.
Only caveat is make sure person installing it is comfortable around automotive electronics.
While not difficult, one can do serious damage if he or she doesn't know what s/he is doing.

 

$8 a month or $80 a year. I might actually just use it for the winter months.

I don't have a 2021, but my guesstimate is the connectors have not changed and the circuits to be tapped are the same.
