Awesome post. Looking to get this headunit, and also eventually rip all my JBL out. Did you have to purchase anything else with the headunit to get the JBL speakers to work? Or can I buy this for now and then upgrade when I'm ready?

Well if you follow the post and get the adapter that is talked about then you can utilize the oem harness to get to the doors. The head unit comes with the harness to attach to oem wires so thats good to go. I would say if you get any box get it first for the sub then measure what you have in actual distance with considering wires and not smashed or differnt configuration for them. I can easily get a bigger amp for my subs and just upgrade the fuse. I brought 0/1 wire there and that's what I would recomend in size and split it for dual amp. I am not so sure I like one amp doing everything gathering a bunch of heat behind those seats... in that crampped space to me it's about dissapation so 2 amps do that job more efficently imo.

I should also come back to update after really thinking about it I took the seat back out and really looked at the box and sure enough I had about 1/2" gap in the back still but the box needed to be very lined up if your keeping oem plastic. It was very very tight but it then slid back once I got it all aligned and the seat installation now is not an issue. The seats being too close and touching the speaker when I am close to max volume is still an issue and I plan to notch that plastic out which is a small corner that would only interfer with the speaker rubber.

All that said it slaps and every day I am super happy I have it setup the way I got it. Another point of advice when installing all this *Run extra lines for futre switches that you could possibly plan on installing or bring in for a buss bar setup... going through that firewall sucks if you don't want to remove anything which I elected to do. I did get it done... it did cost some knckles... get a very sharp blade to cut carpet away so your not dinking around because that was really my only hold up, drilling and using a plug was straight forward.

Good Luck All. - My next plan is to add lights inside and rock lights outside but that should be on a differnt topic
