Just bought a brand new Tacoma four-cylinder 2 Wheel Dr. love the truck my only issue is that it shifts constantly when it’s in cruise control is there anyway to correct this maybe give the computer more tolerance it doesn’t always have to be exactly on the money

The first time I went up a steep hill I was so scared a finishing nail couldn’t have been hammered into my ass! It makes me laugh and I love it more every day! Good luck on your journey!34C396DE-947A-4B28-80AD-19FD3C49BCB5.jpg

Yeah - I also have a 4 banger 2WD and I hate using the cruise. When going uphill it puts it in too low a gear and then even after I'm going back downhill it takes it too long to shift to a higher gear. Other than that I love the truck.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
That's my one major beef about Toyota's Constant Speed Cruise Control (CSCC).
I think there should be 2 features added:
    1. User ability to set an acceptable speed tolerance (e.g. -5 MPH, + 0 MPH)
    2. User ability to set rate of acceleration (which would help with the intense downshift to 4th when it's really not necessary).
I travel one route on a daily basis consistently (Interstate). With CSCC it's always downshifting to 4th. Without it I can climb the same hill with only a 5 MPH loss and a downshift to 5th. Much better on the fuel economy.

    Toyota are you listening?!!

I do believe my 1983 3 spd Datsun stanza was slower though.
