2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD OFFRD

A have question for anyone who has a newer Taco, I recently purchase a new 2021 Taco TRD OFFRD I switched from a 2017 Taco. With the old truck I decided to install the cool looking Tacoma door sills because over time the doors would scratch the inside of the inside door sill area. My new truck doesn’t have them. Did Toyota fix this issue? Or will this happen again and should I install some new ones before this problem happens? I appreciate your time and help with this.

 

You can buy the door sill protectors from the parts desk. I’d recommend doing that. I was dragging my boots on there and have white paint.

Thank you! yeah I went ahead and got them. not only does it look great when you open the doors it does help protect the truck.

 

Glad my 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport came with them on.

 

Do you have any pictures i'm curious to see what it came with stock.

 

Don’t waste your money on it . They do there job . But look like shit over time since dirt starts to accumulate and in the edges . Real pia to clean . I wish I would of had the dealer remove it from my truck prior to sale .

 

I had them before on my old truck and they were fine but they weren't from the dealer I had purchased them from someplace online. so I'm not sure if makes a difference.
