    Hello everybody!

My family and I are growing, and seem to be running out of space in our favorite Tacoma. I am researching what a good selling price is and do not want to underprice it. It currently has 99,000 miles and doesn’t have any mechanical problems, paint chips, windshield problems, etc. Any thoughts or ideas?

@TA2016 I did a quote on KBB and it came out between $33,000. I was looking at both options.

Also get a quote from CarMax. If a dealer low balls you on your trade, you can tell them CarMax will buy it out right for X dollars.

There’s plenty of online sites that use actual market data, location, etc. anything else is just a guess. GL with your sale and congrats on your growing family!

Check your bank as the book they go by is NADA and the bank's will loan on that. Also search other Pro's are selling for. Don't run it through CarMax unless you want your feelings hurt as They want to steal your ride and make money on it as that's their business. I personally think asking $38500 because you have the right model and a popular color and I'm sure you have a hit for high miles.

Higher trim used trucks seem like they should take a greater hit in depreciation, but that's me not putting much value in the added features of the higher trim. If I'm looking at an OR in the same condition and milage as the Pro I'm buying the truck that has the lower price.

Just curious as to where you'd end up.

The useless (to you) post would get me notifications to the thread. - I was a bit busy at the time I posted... that is all.

My suggestion would be to stay away from the carvanas of the world - and trade ins. They value in their favour so they can score a profit.

You could sell it within minutes, if you take 10k! With some effort and patience you'll do much better.

Your Lunar Rock should do a bit better than a lower trim all else being equal.

I'd post it for sale and sell directly and wait for the right buyer.

Example: I had a low miles 100 series Landcruser to sell. Offers (from dealers, and carvana types - obtained for curiosity) were ifrom 8k to 13k offers their machines authorised. They all did want it badly...

They did raise offers once I laughed in their face, but never close enough to what I expected.

They price generically, want a rich deal.

Tons of buyers wanted to score a deal...

Dealers, as well as some prospective buyers argued that it was an old car. Which it was, but, I knew what it was and what the market could do for it - and those folks should just pas, or go buy a different car. I was in no rush...

I finally sold it. The buyer did not flinch paying above $20k. And they were super happy to do so. and for snaging one so clean and with such low miles. I did get furter inquiries after the sale. All regretted not offering more...

You have to find your price... and your buyer to match your truck's mileage and condition.

All things being equal; most people will choose a higher trim, limited model over a more standard version.

Many folks will want it. A lower number of buyers will be willing/able to buy.

Hell, some folks were paying $20k over msrp for these things... (which was silly...)

This (below) sounds like a good strategy for you, I believe:
You'll never get that from carvana...

Good luck! And let us know how you do.

OP I said $38500 and if your original owner I would stick to the 38500 figure, be patient and it will sell! One question, have the Fox shocks had a rebuild yet? All service work current and is the car fax clean, no accidents?
