2021 TRD pro; loud rattle passenger front when hitting big bumps or washboard.

Hi all,

2021 TRD pro, all stock.

When I hit a pronounced bump or drive over washboard I get a super loud thunk or noise from the front passenger end.

Sounds like something is loose, loud enough to be metal on metal.

A rattle doesn't really fit the description, but on washboard it can be pronounced.

Dealer checked twice, said everything is good.

I did the best inspection I could, even took the door off and checked that there was nothing loose in the mechanics there.

Any ideas? I'm at a loss.

 

Maybe check the front skid plate?

 

I was chasing a rattle, ended up being a loose rear bolt on front skid...makes an awful racket.

 

There are a few other threads on TW describing similar noise that turned out to be a bad body mount. The bushings can wear out. Check this thread out:
