2021 TRD Sport Rear View Mirror not as described in manual

G'day all -
The 2021 TRD Sport (at least with the tech package) has a rear view mirror with a few radio-style buttons not shown in the manual. Can see where 2 are for garage door opener. Anyone know where a full description can be found? Thanks!

 

Welcome to TW! A picture of your mirror/buttons would be helpful.

Typically a mirror with buttons will have 3 garage door/gate buttons. If it's an auto-dimming mirror, there will be a 4th button to turn that on/off. If it has a compass, there may be a 5th button for calibration.

 

Thanks so much mlr69. I need to get the hang of this forum and have some pics at the ready. After a few more google searches - it looks like my Taco came with a HomeLink Mirror -- and just as you described - it has three "home" garage door buttons and a power button for the auto-dimming feature. Was frustrating that the OM had no entry for the rear view mirror options. I'll get there. Thanks again.

EDIT: I just found instructions in my 2018 manual (section attached), they will work for your 2021.

 

The same instructions are found starting on page 383 of the 2021 manual. This shows the use of the 3 programmable buttons.

The 4th button (on the extreme right) is for turning the automatic anti-glare feature on/off, and also for calibrating the compass. This is shown under the "Type B" mirror on page 152 of the manual.

My truck has the "Type A" mirror. It lacks the programmable garage door opener buttons, but otherwise works the same.
