I would like to see: (I have a manual transmission)
    1. Lane departure alert that just vibrates the steering wheel like low end Nissans do. I like the alert, just not as a beep.
    2. A CD player so I don’t have to load my brand new CD immediately on my phone first. Yes, I would rather have CarPlay in place of the CD player, but why not both?
    3. To be able to lock my doors remotely through connect in case I forget, or to be able to at least check that they are locked. Most connect features are not enabled on the 6MT.
    4. A true valet key. I don’t want the valet rifling through my glove box. It is bad enough that I have to park it for the valet because he cannot drive a manual.

Any time I've opened a rear window on a pickup it acts like a bed cleaner, all the loose dirt into the cab...

I want to have a multi media head unit, one with 8 track, cassette, and cd player along with push button transmission and a P-A system to yell at the stupid f... In front of me to get off his phone and drive when the light changes green.

Push button transmissions were a thing in Chryslers in the 60's, a swivel seat like a early Monte Carlo's,

I know I’d use the storage a lot more than I would need to roll down the back window. I don’t think I’ve ever opened the back window on either my old Tundra or my present taco. I use the hell out all the available storage storage I can get though.

My TRD Sport locks itself after 30 seconds I believe… turned that shit off cause it’s annoying.

    Locking fuel caps are annoying.

It’s 2021, get Spotify and be done with it.

Leather? It’s called the Premium package… I have it on mine.

How about a Vagisil compartment conveniently located in the dash? FOR WHEN PEOPLE ARE BEING PUSSIES OVER SHIT LIKE THIS!

What does Vagisil have to do with legit complaints about their Tacoma. Does having a vagina make a person inferior?

No Itchyfeet, having an itchy vagina does not calculate into the quality of a person's character, but being a whining little pussy does.

We make a good team Itchy: You keep serving them up, and I'll keep hitting them out of the park!

My wife has had her 4Runner for just about a year now. The rear window has gone down twice since she's had it.

Once on the first day and once a couple weeks ago when my dog stepped on the button. We were doing 90kmh on a gravel road and the window went all the way down and sucked an ungodly amount of limestone dust into the cabin.

Now I'm looking at disconnecting the button entirely.

Jeez... you guys that are livid that anyone would have some fair requests/criticisms about equipment (that is readily available in a lot of other vehicles that cost half what a Tacoma cost) are really having a day.

Nothing wrong with folks talking about things they think their truck could have or do that would improve it. No one is saying their truck is garbage because it doesn't have X feature, just that they wished it was available.

The Backup cam in my 2016 RAV4 is better than the 2021 Tacoma. But the Tacoma is much better than the 2020 Honda Civic Si. Does it really matter? Can I not see what I need to see? Of course not. But if you go from vehicle to vehicle you will pick up the difference. Toyota is doing a good job with that imo.

Our trucks have hydraulic power assist and that's the reason we don't get this or the car correcting itself.

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
We have 3 other cars in the family right now with a backup camera (15 Fusion, 16 Legacy, 17 Crosstrek) and the camera on the Tacoma is worlds nicer than any of those.

You folks giving us old folks hell for the lack of a CD player must not have grown up when the CD was the tech of the day. Between my wife and I we have several hundred CD's ranging from hard core to country and damn near everything in between.
Been spending a lot of my short life downloading those suckers to Laptop then memory stick...
Having that memory stick in my truck instead of 50 CD's banging around sure is nice though.

I don’t believe that makes a difference for the LDA. It is a simple vibration in the steering wheel that has nothing to do with the steering itself. If the LDA can trip a beep, it could trip a vibration mechanism in the wheel itself.

Maybe I’m losing my mind but my truck locks itself automatically. I find it obnoxious but this thread makes me think it’s a setting I can turn off (or I accidentally hit lock on the fob in my pocket a lot).
