I just saw a Utube on recalls stating the rear seat child seat latch (not seat belts) may have inadequate weld material and fail during an accident. The remedy , after inspection determines it’s defective, is to apply more weld material. Has anyone had this repair? The recall implied a 3rd party could be employed to make the welds? I wonder if these welds can be made, steel repainted, and not mess up the interior? You may be without the vehicle for days as the weld process is estimated at 8 hours. If I had a brand new truck, I would not be happy. It is a safety issue. Just wondering if anyone had this done if it was not a big deal. Thanks
