Hello All. Just recently jumped back into a Taco with a 22 Trd Pro.

So Ive done some digging and see a lot of up and down about max tire size…… being 265/76/16 with no modes and no issue….

With the slight change made in 22 they added .5 inch rear and 1 inch front. Does anybody have new news to spread about no issues with 285’s? Im grasping at a small group and probably beating a dead horse but hey.

Go 2558516. Thank me later. No rubbing, over an inch bigger thank 26575s. And trust me; that inch makes a HUGE difference. (Insert that’s what she said joke here)

Since lift doesn't create clearance, the same sizes that work with all other models are the 'do nothing' limit.

How will the truck be used, say 85 - 90% of the time?

85% roadway. In all honesty. And that 15% will be trails of dirt, rock, or fields for hunting/fishing/camping

265 75 Michelin defenders fit your use case well.

The 255s are also a great choice if you need an E rated tire. But kind heavy and rough riding for high highway miles.
