    Hi Folks,

So, I'm back in the Tacoma market which was my original Top Pick (been looking for a new vehicle for ages it seems). I'm tinkering with the following config: 2022 4x4 TRD Off Road, DC, Manual Tranny. From what I can tell, the advanced tech adds crawl control and a "terrain camera". Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but with a manual, doesn't the majority of the "advanced" features become moot? I know for sure that I want the regular tech package but I'm not sure if the advanced tech is worth it for those with a MT.

I'm also interested in adding the TRD lift kit and perhaps the TRD Performance Exhaust and would love to hear your opinion's on those options. From what I've heard, the TRD exhaust sounds great and I think would pair nicely with the MT. I'm torn not the lift. Honestly, I don't see myself ever wanting to go higher than what's offered on the TRD lift kit. I don't want larger tires, I simply like having a bit more ground clearance and height.

Input appreciated. Thanks for your time!!

    Cheers
    J

With a manual you get A-trac only (advanced traction control) and a locker of course. You also don’t get JBL premium stereo.

Trd exhaust sounds great, my buddy has it. Some folks say it’s very quiet, I tend to agree. I have the Borla a-type and it has very similar tone but it’s a bit louder than TRD, which I prefer. Also, don’t expect any performance gains with the exhaust.

I also got the poor mans TRD intake and it sounds great, love it!

TRD lift kit is nice but I think there are much better options for the price. OME nitro charger shocks, OME front springs and dobinsons leafs are a better choice IMHO.

    Good luck!

Tech package adds blind spot, parking sensors, and cross traffic. Advance traffic puts the 360 camera on top of that. I just bought mine and Advance tech was my only option. To be honest, the camera quality is such crap it’s almost unusable

That’s what I heard. 16-19s get better camera quality than 2020+. Doesn’t make any sense to me.
