No Russia, but added Miami... is Miami a one time deal or a new track going forward?

During yesterday’s commentary someone had a good idea for DRS, they said that drivers only get say 60 seconds of DRS each race and they can use it as and when they want.

I think that would work pretty well.

If I were the king I would let them run it whenever they wanted and also allow changes to the front wing as long as its the driver controlling it. Just like pilots trimming the aero on an airplane. Id also allow refueling if they want the option and Id get rid of the stupid tire restrictions. Run whatever tires Pirelli has to offer and then use as many as they need.

That would be an interesting one to see. Obviously there's a benefit to fresh tires but they'd also have to contend with pit stop time and potentially recovering places lost afterwards.

Not sure about the "new F1" but that right there is reason to not do it. They never (used to) look to a good idea from another series. So we get stupid crap like DRS.

I think they have certain zones for safety reasons. So I wonder if DRS would be dangerous outside the zones. Dunno why they can't use it at will.

FIA guy in yesterdays test said it is there supposedly to allow the following driver to be able to pull alongside the driver in front before the upcoming corner.

if that’s the case they need to tweak it some more!

I’ll die on this very hill. Two tires inside the white lines at all times Makes the most sense to me. 2 warnings and then its 5 sec penalties for each infraction after.
