Another very exciting race! LeClerc schooling Verstappen was fun to watch. So was the Alpine duel.

There was an awful lot of bad luck being spread around, Checo getting the first dose then HAM and LEC later.

Multiple dead cars is unusual but then again it is year one of a radical new formula.

I hear the commentators say "it would be great to see a VER/LEC/HAM battle" but I think it might be better if it was VER/LEC/RUS.

Glad to see Mick wasn't seriously injured but I think he might be driving beyond his capabilities trying to match KMag.

That lap 37 or 38 was bizarre.

Love seeing Kmag putting Haas in the points. The Alpine battle was fun but seemed unnecessary. Curious what happened to the cars on lap 37, DR and Bottas and Alonso all out.

I also think HAM will be back soon, he was finding good pace on the hards. I think starting on mediums and a standard pit strategy would've put him higher up.

Fuel formulation is different too which is playing havoc with power units and fuel delivery systems.

Danny Ric, Bottas & Alonso all had issues. It was weird.

I agree on that Alpine duel. At some point, they should focus on the team and not put themselves at risk. It is not like it was the final laps. All the duel achieved was losing touch with the cars ahead and allowing those behind to close the gap.

Wondering how much money Latifi is bringing. That was a costly weekend for Williams.

here's what Ocon said below. a couple ways to look at this, and it has me thinking. i also saw Alonso beating his helmet with his fist after exiting his broken car, and i'm not sure how much of that frustration was just the car failing.

“It was a lot of fun,” said Ocon when asked about his eventful evening. “Good racing with Lando, good racing with Fernando, with Valtteri. It's a completely different philosophy now racing with these cars, it's pretty much like a go-kart race.

“And fighting with Fernando very closely, we were very close in all sessions this weekend, in qualifying, there was less than a tenth separating us. So it's going to be close all year. But that's pushing the team performance up.”

Regarding their personal battle allowing rivals to catch up, Ocon said: “I think of course when you fight, same as in go-karts, you lose time, it's normal."

I'm seriously starting to root for Kmag. Guy is crushing it with what he's got.

The Leclerc/Verstappen battle was exciting. Sorta wish Leclerc took the W, or Perez... Perez had some major bad luck with that pitstop.

My boy Bottas, damn. Wasn't expecting a DNF, thought he'd finish about where he started the race at or better.

Any who, so excited race season is back. I just look forward to race weekends so much.

Looks like F1 got the aero right for more overtakes and close racing fights. A nice pick up in the excitement.

I do like that the commentators are finally recognizing that it is not so easy to have that "great drive from the back" when you cannot just dial it up and have a car that is multiple seconds faster than everyone else.
