Wow 2 hours of qualifying for it all to end as a Red Flag. Lots of build up for that last lap for nothing

I guess. But if you’re worried about spoilers, I wouldnt be clicking on a “f1 thread” ANYWHERE until you’re caught up with whatever you want to be caught up with. Pretty easy. Can’t expect people not to talk about current f1 happenings in a f1 thread. If I can’t watch a race live, I don’t click into f1 app or click this thread or even open any news. Gotta turn off notifications, etc.

This thread has been really good about not posting any practice, qually, or race on-track drama/results until at least 24 hours after said event has occurred. I click on this thread to find out drama behind the scenes leading up to race weekend and during race weekend, not on track activities. So yes, if it's Monday afternoon and you haven't watched the race yet don't click on the thread. But a red flag ending qually to me is a spoiler.

If I'm not up to the most current practice/qualifying/race finish then I don't even open this thread.

Since when? We always talk about what’s happening as it’s happening. Like others have said don’t click on this thread until after you watch qualifying and/or the race.

How did Verstappen get pole (for the sprint race) when there was a yellow flag in the 3rd sector?

    Cheers

He let off the gas as he went past Bottas which was enough to appease the director. The track was ramping up and he managed to sneak that lap in which was quickest of the session.

And so tired of hearing Buxton "I just love sprint weekends"..... It sounds like he is getting 100 bucks every time he says this. His excitement seems so contrived and insincere. Like he's pandering. Just my opinion of course.

I wonder if Merc would like to do reverse grid starts now? I think they’d have a better chance at winning. Feel there car is definitely number 3 with their driver pairing and you wouldn’t have to pass the entire field like they would’ve had to last year. I think they’d easily pass the back field

I’m just loving that Haas is outperforming Mercedes this year.

Also liked Leclerc very obviously checking out the Redbull’s rear tire wear afterwards.

I like two days of racing even if it has the stink of NASCAR about it. They all have to do it. Tough and fun.

Love this course so more pleasure for me. And after all that is what the promoters want.

Fun little race even though the pissant won.

    Sprints are bad for F1.

Bottas must be grinning ear to ear looking back at Merc.

    Haas!

Love to see Russell on top of Hamilton but Merc is in trouble. Either of the top two, maybe three, teams would have cracked the DRS train Merc was caught in and improved their position.
