I was watching the F2 Feature and they broke from the race to show Lewis entering the pits with Angela Cullen trailing behind, carrying a fresh shirt for him.
It caused me to wonder aloud.... "Do any other drivers have a person in an equivalent role as Angela who (from the web) "....during Grand Prix weekends she acts as his high-powered personal assistant, chauffeur, waitress and even alarm clock..." or this something that Lewis invented to help him through the weekend? Is it a Mercedes thing? Does George have one assigned to him?

I like how no one caught the cat that ran out in front of Perez on the last restart. It's the reason he locked up and flat spotted his tires. Haven't seen anyone mention that yet.

Just whining but I am soooooooooooooo tired of the fake media hype that has overtaken F1. ESPN headline - "Max Verstappen's dad, Jos, blasts Red Bull's strategy at Monaco GP" - the actual post from Jos (who is a nitwit, but I digress) is simply that he would have preferred a strategy that favored Max. Hardly shocking.
Of course I blame NETFLIX for this.

Monaco was actually a good race this year. I enjoyed it much more than previous years. Glad to see Russell doing better than Hamilton the GOAT. Definitely wasn't the car this whole time (lol).

 

as long as we're making predictions, i'll predict RIC will tear it up at Baku and temper all this social media BS.

damn i sure hope i'm right. but i think we all know that Lando is one of probably only 3 drivers at that level today and RIC ain't gonna beat him on merit consistently.

 

F1 is a tough job when you’re not a teams golden child. You wonder if all a sudden Ric started shinning and finishing ahead of lando, would there be talks of kicking lando?
If Hamilton doesn’t pick up pace and start out performing Russell, would merc talk about releasing him?

such a mix of skill and politics.

 

I'd give him until the end of 2023 if he continues on this trend. i.e. sucks the rest of this year, he gets next year to get better with the car etc., but he's got history with the team so they'd give him a pass I think until the end of 2023 before seat gets warm

As for RIC, I bet he's seat stays warm until he starts getting close to Lando. New regulations and yet again another new car gives him benefit of the doubt if he can consistently stick around Lando

I doubt he would go to HAAS. I think he'd retire and go to American LeMans or some other enduro series

 

Going to Haas would also open up new American racing opportunities post F1. I could see him doing that, if the F1 team was stronger. Or if he gets particularly desperate.
