He's having an understated season as a rookie.

Ferrari's revolving door of team principals didn't solve their issues prior to Binotto getting promoted , just sayin

Yea so sad for Charles. That's 2 races back to back he basically had in the bag crushed by the car breaking down. So unusual these days. Ferrari is very fast but it seems they've pushed the performance over the edge.

It would be messed up if the FIA did a rule change mid season.

Maybe ham needs one of these?

Or for being helped out of the car at the end of the race. Drivers can’t be touched before being weighed.

Yes he was in pain, maybe he was faking it, yes the car was creating pain and maybe even should have been shown the black and orange flag… but it’s Mercedes choice to run the car that low.

It is funny hearing Toto apologising to ham for having a shitbox of a car though.

Seriously, it’s not like he is a rookie driver trying to prove himself. If it was really as bad as he said it was retire the car. The games Mercedes is trying to play is just stupid.

Drama for the cameras. Drama for FIA. All orchestrated to "lend weight" to the "need" for a rule change....that just happens to benefit them the most. So....BAU in F1! Ha!

    Check Out My Builds
All this talk about changing the rules and "just build a better car and not hurt teams who have already built a good car (Red Bull/Ferrari)" mentality reminds me of last year where they changed some of the flooring to affect high rake cars (Merc and Aston Martin).

So it goes back to that if you ask me, don't change the rules and teams just have to build a better car, so if that happened last year I bet Red Bull wouldn't have won as much last year let alone the drivers championship. But they changed the rules anyways because Red Bull and others couldn't match Merc 75% of the time, but it's the past so can't change it.

TLDR; you can't have your cake and eat it too. Don't change the rules especially when the next year is a completely new car and this year don't change the rules because it's 8 races into said new car. Just build a better one

Merc could try the Barcelona spec car.

Im sure Toto said at some point if this zero pod design doesn’t work.they’ll look at using the B spec…

It would be nice to have one race where we do not hear Toto apologizing to Lewis like he's some sort of victim. That "other" driver seems to be getting to grips with it and as Lando was recently quoted as saying, we (and Merc) could raise the ride-height of the car but we don't want to lose that performance.
And speaking of that "other" driver, how cool is George's feedback? I love his in-car audio in qualy that is especially detailed. Much to the engineer's delight I bet.

Not really a Merc fan but I would love to see George have an opportunity to fight for more than 5th (without retirements ahead).

I just listened to Lando's post race interview and yeah he totally called Mercedes out saying that Mercedes could fix the porpoising and make the car drive better by strengthening the floor and raising the ride height but Mercedes don't want to lose performance. He goes on to say that the McLaren's driving nicely with a good balance of porpoising/performance.

In other news... Australia confirmed until 2035!

EDIT: in opposition Danny felt the car war really bad.
