Last time I went from HI I arrived in LHR in under 17 hours, a 30 minute layover in LA, Kona flight was delayed by 5 hours so shrunk the layover.
However currently in NV but will be flying From Seattle to Dublin to France.

Funny, I'm actually going to be in Cancun during the Mexico City race so I am hoping I can find somewhere good to watch it.

Are Ferrari & Red Bull skirting some regulations on their floor/plank to solve their porpoising? Hadn't heard this analysis before.

no time to find my source although i spent a few looking..
the assertion i saw was interesting, positing that RB's flex is one of the ingredients that keeps them away from the oscillations.

then a bunch of readers chime in -- if it provides RB a porpoising solution, then why are they trying to stop it, why not just allow it and eventually everyone gets on the same page. and there seems to be no reason not to do that.

this is the part i can't find right now: evidently the flex floor deal was coming independently and before porpoising was regarded as an ongoing issue. the focus on porpoising came after the flex floor focus. so, they are likely considered somewhat independent issues by the FIA right now, although they will converge their concerns by necessity... if this is true, that is.

I think if it solves the ridiculous bouncing/porpoising, and doesn't compromise safety. Let everyone do it. It appears there would still need to be some new regulations defining the tolerance of that flex down the length of the plank and in the floor.

i agree, but according to what i wrote, if it's correct, then there will need to be a convergence of what lead to these TD's. it appears several players in the paddock are taking issue with the FIA's chosen method and contrived metrics for assessment. if it's true the FIA is overcomplicating things and the teams saying that are right, then this is gonna be a while with plenty of twists turns & drama.

This exactly. If they limit deflection, they need to define the test procedures. This doesn't sound like a real regulation.

That's just what they did. They defined a test procedure to detect floor deflection further back along the plank. But Christian Horner agrees with you.

If it was as decent as the last one out I'm fine, see if the new regs makes Sprints better

To each their own. I don't like the spints at all and don't watch them.

We’ll that was sucky for McLaren!

There’s obviously a downside to only having one practice session before qualifying. Quite an expensive session for Mercedes.
