There’s been a lot of street tracks in this first half of the season where walls are the limit of the track.
Austria apparently is difficult for the drivers because of visibility, wheel brows and such… yet when there is a wall on the white line they are able to judge it just fine (well, most of the time).

You don't really mean that, because...

    ...this.

I utterly agree. They tried penalizing off-track antics by making the curbing more dramatic, the expectation being that the drivers would not want to damage their cars. But they drove right out there anyway, and broke their cars, and that created a lot of danger to them and other competitors. Short of putting walls all the way around all of the tracks, what else can they do besides penalize drivers.

Here's an idea: use something similar to the 'hawkeye' system in tennis. Cameras and computers determine whether the car is outside the lines, and penalties are assigned automatically and robotically. I suppose there would still be arguments, such as a driver being forced wide or having a mechanical issue.

Well then you just have a human as the last bit of a check. If it's clearly track limits via the data, FIA goes yup that's track limits.

Then if it's a racing incident and forced wide, cameras go hey that's track limits and alerts FIA. They go nah because he was pushed wide, no harm no foul :notsure:

I’m at a soccer match and I don’t know if I dislike this player because he isn’t doing well at all or because he reminds me of Hamilton.

Hold my beer while I tow this dumpster full of gasoline, magnesium, sulfur and red phosphorous WITH my FIAT.

Tony, I drive a FIAT because my pizza burned in the dumpster fire.

Someone needs to tell Ferrari that engineers aren't race strategists. Carlos knows. But no one else.

All they need to do is listen to the commentators just roast the shit out of them every race weekend.

Leclerc said he made a mistake...I'm not so sure. Could he have said that to take the heat off the team? They've been having throttle issues. If that's actually it, I think that's high character from him.

Carlos also deferred to the team's decision making. Wonder if they are getting coached...

Yeh with their salaries and contracts I'd go with the flow of what the teams wants. Happens in every sport.

Possibly. He did say something about the throttle on the radio that sounded like it wasn't returning to zero.

If Enzo was still in charge. Heads would roll! May happen anyway. Seriously both Charles and Carlos should've been on the podium.

Ferrari must have really felt that Sainz' tires weren't going to survive to the end of the race , ie P5 points better than no points , and not sure how any of you guys are blaming Ferrari for Leclerc not getting on the podium when he even admitted he was totally to blame for the crash lol

Ferrari should be leading the drivers and constructors championship right now! I'm not 100% sure about Charles being to blame by himself. He got dressed down for complaining last time on air. Even Nico said he was shocked to see a world class driver like Charles make a mistake like that. Throttle sensitivity issues could surely contribute to something like that. Its been a comedy of errors for them this year. Stand by for news of fireworks in the top brass at Ferrari.
