I think it is incredibly smart for 23xi. I mean that pretty much puts Bubba on notice also. Here comes a guy who is going to perform, had better get your shit together. As for RCR, Richard has to let the 3 take a backseat or change drivers and get the program back to consistently competing. The smartest thing they could do is pickup someone like Corey Lajoie. I mean when you think of it, bringing in AD cost RCR Harvick and now Reddick. These talented drivers will not take a backseat to the spoiled grandson.

Only two charters so I don't see them adding a 3rd team unless Kurt retires or runs a partial schedule. Plus you have JRM actively searching for charters so I don't see a 3rd team. Now, I suspect Kurt will retire and he will take the 45 car but whatever the number on the side it will be the premiere team. And MJ is going to expect his car to be in victory lane.

I'm not a Bubba fan by any means but he's got some pit crew troubles that have cost him a lot this year. Just ask the 20 car. Assuming Bubba can continue to bring sponsorship money, he ain't going nowhere.

I'm with you on Austin... He's the golden arch there. It's a family business with even crew involved in their lives. If Corey could slide into RCR, that would be great for him. I think he turned a lot of heads this weekend with what he is capable of. Just needs a bigger team with deeper pockets.

i think he goes to 45 when Kurt retires. Kurt is 43 and in two years, how much more does he really have left in the tank? Denny said he'd have a ride as long as he wants, but I can't see him going past 2024. They run a 3 car team for one year and then Tyler takes over the 45.

Totally agree. I am also not a Bubba fan, but he is the token guy so he is not going anywhere. I admit he has had a lot of pit road challenges but I also feel like he completely underperforms for the status he is given. It drives me crazy that guys like Blaney is not on a promo when Bubba is front and center. And yeah, AD needs to take the Justin Marks route but I don't think he is capable of being successful at that either. I think its funny watching his new reality show. His best friend is a jersey boy type guy who is a tire carrier. I mean how does that guys salary allow him to live across the street from AD and do all the shit he does? The worst part is AD is probably worse for his career than the other way around.

Bubba is always going to have that moxy.

The show sure puts a bad look on RCR in general. Can't see how that train wreck was even approved by boss man. Austin isn't a bad driver, he'll just need take it serious enough (won't ever happen at RCR) to garnish the respect he thinks he has because he drives the 3. Dale Sr. is probably rolling over in his grave.

Mid-day race in middle Georgia in mid-July, the week after July 4th (big vacation weekend), and the World Series-winning Braves (who are pretty hot right now) were playing at the same time as the race. Other area sporting events have always hampered Atlanta race attendance. The Fall race used to coincide with Falcons games, then they moved it back to the same weekend as GA/FL weekend. No event is going to go head to head with the Braves or Bulldogs and win in this state but NASCAR didn't get the memo.

i think the way it was explained on the broadcast was that NASCAR was getting a bit more lenient if it happened on pit road. He barely made it out of the pits and did not cause a concern for an accident and therefore no penalty. At least that's how I understood it.

To your point though... very inconsistent this year with NASCAR rules. Seems they are making it up as they need. The NEXTGEN car has everyone scratching their heads.

Xfinity race was pretty good yesterday. Have the SRX race from last night recorded, but haven't watched it yet.
