I didn't realize this but apparently they're not repaving North Wilkesboro before the All Star Race. I knew they cancelled the dirt races, but I thought it was to speed up the process.

 

23X1 and RCR seem to be the front runners.

Also NASCAR plans to have on board POV video from every car for free starting this week. Can't wait to tune in to see the Rick Ware cars!

 

ESPN said he announced his retirement.

I like this decision, the old asphalt will be a cool twist to race on, I would expect a repave soon after the race though, as I believe SMI still wants to renovate the whole track to new condition.

With the comments after the truck race I’m gonna go ahead and say KB is not driving a Toyota next year! JHN saying he has had a tough week emotionally for things that are out of his control and CH saying KB needs to go ahead and announce if he is going to Kaulig or RCR so he does not have to worry about KBM anymore.

I mean, can't say I blame him at this point. There isn't a lot Toyota can do. But from Busch's perspective: you win 146 races across the top 2 series for JGR and several additional races under the Toyota banner, including in the truck series. Not to mention several drivers through a truck series team which would be defunct without Busch purchasing it from Billy Ballew in the first place. You're the literal face of the manufacturer for years and even made comments in other interviews about how you "bleed Toyota." Now, you're likely to lose your seat (ignoring sponsorship and money at the moment) to the team owner's grandson and the best they can seem to offer you is maybe a spot at second-fiddle 23XI. I'd probably be wanting to give them the finger too.

 

KB basically shut down Bob Pockrass when Bob asked if he was going to RCR. He said he had nothing new to announce and if he did there would be a big announcement. Even dropped the "Bob" twice in his response.

Nothing official yet and Reddick is still not set to leave... Yet. But my how things come full circle!

Kyle Busch takes over for Terry Labonte in the 5. Dale Jr goes from the 8 to the 5 (88, but still since he took Busch's spot). Kyle takes Terry's brother's former spot in the 18. Then likely ends up in the 8.
