Chase seems pretty pissed off. NASCAR has to stop manufacturing this drama though. That race should have been a snoozer, he should have won and NASCAR should take their lumps for these races being boring. It’s becoming like WWE and it’s just not a sport at that point.

So... Dunno if I was missed all year... But I unfortunately had to go do some time away from society because FL sucks. So no... I didn't die or anything. Now... I'm back... At least somewhat.

I did miss all you guys though.

I don't know if anyone remembers... But I said before last year ended I was pulling for the 1 until Matty D gets a ride in cup again. Looks like that wasn't a bad pick. I know he did some controversial things but him and his TH stablemate Danny S doing very well with this new car... Which I gotta say I'm warming up to.

    Good to be back.

Thanks guys for the warm re-welcome.

I'm not all the way back...yet... But I am at a point I can get occasional access. It's been a rough season. Let's just say NASCAR isn't a sport of choice where I was. I did get to see most of the summer races... And Ross's 1st win ( missed his 2nd).

But where I'm at now at least I can keep up via the interebs.

Sounds like I was right to go biking instead of watching the race. The 18 did well, but I still can't stand the Roval.

Yeah, I mean if you let Penske flat out park cars in the last round why would you care if a teammate did a little blocking. They are upset that all the manufactured drama put out one of the superstars.

why you got to bring it up... Larson was like 5 laps down to his stupidity. just trying to rub in.. part of racing.. I would slow up the field too if I knew I could get a team mate in

Larson just flat out fucked up. He was way plus in the points. Didn’t have a great car and was racing no one and overran the car and smacked the wall. No one to blame but himself but NASCAR will find a way to try and get him back in.

At the point of blocking or slowing other cars down, how ever you look at it, Briscoe was tied with Larson, Briscoe getting the tie breaker. Nascar will probably do nothing, since at the point of concern, he was in.

    Many & varied
Las Vegas is likely Blaney's (11 LV avg fin.) best chance to get into the final four with a win, but he has to get past Logano (8.9 LV avg. fin.) to do it. Logano is the defending winner of this race and looked stout in the Spring '22 event before engine woes. Blaney is good at Martinsville too, but it's nearly impossible to pass in this new car, so qualifying and pit strategy are more important than on-track strategy.

Other playoff driver avg finishes for Las Vegas:

    Hamlin 13.2
    Elliott 17.8
    Byron 18.3
    Bell 19.6
    Briscoe 23.3
    Chastain 23.6

    Final 4 Prediction:
    Logano (wins Vegas)
    Hamlin (wins Homestead)
    Blaney (wins Martinsville)
    Elliott (in on points)

Phoenix: Hamlin gets his first and only championship.

I suspect the 9 will play the points game. The only track he is any good at in this round is the paperclip. If they are smart they will quietly just try and run in the top 10 but so far they have not done that. If he can escape LV without giving all his points back I will be happy. Really he should be wrapping up the championship in the next race or two but no, we have to have this playoff BS!
