Ordered some display cases and hung them in the basement. I need more cases and more room! This is about half what I want to display. These two cases cover 1964-1991. I need to get 1991-2022 as well. It is rare but I pre-ordered the new 2022 Chase Briscoe Mahindra car and the Harrison Burton Motorcraft Mustangs.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
That 17 Western Auto scheme is one of my favorites though I was never a DW fan. I remember how beautiful it was with the Dales silver select car as it slammed into the wall with sparks flying.

It definitely stood out in its day. I remember seeing it slinging dirt & mud 40' in the air at my first Cup race:

Two positive signs from yesterday: tire wear is much better than last year and it's not a one groove race track.

The truck race was pretty good. Even when Matty D and Austin Wayne Self got stuck together lol

Fell asleep waiting on the race to start. Woke up for the final 25 laps (and like 3 commercial breaks).

You didn't miss much. Not a very good truck race. Kind of a sleeper.

I'd have to disagree with that, personally. I thought it was great racing.

I think the Trucks normally put on the best race of the weekend, This one I didn't really care for.

Well, nothing like watching a publicity stunt. This whole NASCAR on dirt thing is fucking lame.

To each their own. I hope to see more NASCAR on dirt. I'd even be happy with 2 or 3 per year.

Race started just like last year with an early caution for dirt on the grilles.
