100% agree. Tough shoes to fill but he's held his own and is becoming what everyone, including Jeff Gordon, thought he would. Good kid!

Eric Jones has been running good. Like to see him put the 43 in victory lane .

To bad Ty will wad up the 42 in the first 50 laps. Jones has been wheeling that car. It is funny that Jones has been running better than the 20 with much worse equipment. Not sure JGR made a good call on that one.

I was listening to the door bumper clear podcast and TJ Majors who is the spotter for the 6 now was discussing the penalty for the 6 and them losing the appeal. TJ was saying that he knows a lot about the situation and that he does not see where they did anything wrong and Mike Davis was on the show and told TJ to be careful, his Penske was starting to show again. LOL, cracked me up.

He's been wheeling it up until he makes a mistake. I didn't want to see him leave JGR, but he hadn't done anything and Bell was doing things. But that being said, the difference between Ty Dillon and Erik Jones is talent. You can have the best equipment in the world and if you don't have the talent, you won't do well. Also vise versa; Jones is outperforming the expectations of the Petty team and Dillon is not.

Two less DNFs than Denny. I wish he was higher than 26th in points. I don't even know who is on that team or calling the shots. The second Petty team has never had many resources but they sure had had some wheelmen from other disciplines over the years (Hornish, Ambrose, LEGEND BRIAN SCOTT). I sure do wish Ty the best. He's certainly earned his way and been intentional to not ride on Pop-Pop's coattails like his brother, Austin. I met him at Atlanta and he was really humble, taking the time to sign autographs for EVERYONE waiting at the fence while the superstars took shortcuts across the grass to avoid fans. Gragson and Reddick also took the time to sign many autographs, too. (see slides 2,3,4):

True, I do not dislike Ty. I like him a lot more than his brother. I am just questioning his talent after being the only person unable to perform in JGR equipment last year and now getting shown up by the 43 when RCR is putting resources into that ride. I do wish him the best however, I do suspect he is humble because I mean he kinda has to be and he is just probably excited he actually has a fan or two. JK.

Trevor Bayne is a relief driver for Kyle Busch for the next 2 weeks in case his surrogate mother goes into labor. Kind of curious why they picked Bayne instead of John Hunter Nemechek. They are both JGR drivers.

We were just talking about the 90s the other night. Hard to believe 30 years.
