What about T-Taps? You're not cutting just spicing.

 

You can the factory speaker wire off the radio into RCA jacks for the amp.

 

Won’t This only work for the front speakers and not the rear

 

I posted the converter picture for a 2 channel Amp. If needed they make a 4 channel converter.

The picture was just a example of what available.

 

@destin_meeks , sorry to bother you again. Just wanted to confirm a couple things. Amp and wiring showed up today. Here's what I have so far, assuming run power to battery, ground to ground, and then match the colors?

 

Just to make sure you get your male and female sides correct and you’re all set

 

Wanting to do this to my 2022 so if anyone figures out which connectors work on the 20+ radios, please post and I will do the same if I find it somewhere else.

Or does the amp connectors come with the amp?

 

Nope, no Metra stuff for this install. You need the harness from post 9 and a 10awg amp power wire kit

Final question. Got it all wired up as you directed. I am assuming I turn the "Auto-Turn On" to DC and press in the radio detect button for the amp to turn on with the truck?

 

No
Radio detect stays off. That gets into a more advanced feature that we don’t need

 

Ok, so just switch to DC and I'm good

 

Sorry for reviving an old post but did you find a connector to tap the factory radio power without splicing the factory wires or did you run a power wire to the battery? I have the alpine as well.

 

I ended up getting power from the battery and grounding somewhere behind the dash. Can't remember where since I tried a handful but there's a few spots that work.

 

Thank you so much for the response. I was hoping to get the power plug and play but will run wiring if need be. I just don't want to cut into factory wiring or t+tap anything.

I tried a handful of different grounding locations and still get a very slight hiss at the speakers. It doesn't change in volume or tone and only noticeable when the music is off and my ears are to the speakers, but it's there. I've been told this is a by product of these smaller/cheaper amplifiers.
