    Were you at fault?
Did you have to provide receipts and they just covered the price of new parts?

No, I was hit from behind. But regardless of fault, you have the right to pick. I just used printouts of the receipts or web pages showing pricing tho they didn't ask. I took pictures of everything and just sent it to them along with descriptions.

Just found this thread! Any good/fun places here in NorCal for a PreRunner and the wife to go out and have some fun in the dirt?

I grew up in the "Old" Shasta area and have been to the top of Shasta Bally countless times, but I don't have any recent experience. In the past, the gate at Sheep Camp was rarely closed even if the snow was too deep to pass. By April, you should be fine. Sheep Camp is a nice spot to stay the night on the way up, but the route can be done in a few hours if the snow is clear. From near the top, there is a road (but I think the gate is usually closed) I rode (Mountain bike) in 1990 that connects to Coggins Park. It doesn't show up in Google Maps as a road, but you can see the route in satellite view.

I also rode the Whiskeytown Downhill (a mountain bike race) in 1986. It starts at the Buckhorn Summit on 299 and goes up and over, then down to Coggins Park. That is all good dirt road. From Coggins Park I have only ever gone toward Crystal Creek. I haven't taken the road the whole way down as there are some good trails for mountain biking that cut down toward the lake. I see the road from Buckhorn Summit also goes to Bully Choop, but I have never been.

There are lots of beautiful places to camp in the area. As long as you are at least a mile from Whiskeytown Lake as the crow flies, you can camp anywhere you see a good spot (don't create something new). Here's a good site to check out. https://www.nps.gov/whis/planyourvisit/campground-regulations.htm

Map shows it starts right at Gaston but there is probably still a little show left on the road before where the map shows:

    I use this map:

Hit me up next time you are planning a trip as we are probably neighbors in Concord.

Planning on trip to Bowman Lake on Presidents Day, saw four YouTube videos posted in past month. Hoping it’s open and not closed by gates.

Read previous comment posted this road is closed until end of March.

The gates should be closed until Mar 31. If they're open let us know

Two hour trip for me to chance gate not being locked not worth it, deciding on Peligreen Jeep Trail instead.

Where are the gates that they close? On Bowman Lake Road, I thought they just pile snow at the end of Rucker Lake and put a sign saying “Tracked vehicles only”

Can you come in via the Washington side (provided you can get through the snow)?

I’ll be trying the Washington side next week. The top can be deep this time of year. We will see

Last I checked there was a huge pile of snow blocking to road. Although this was about a month ago.
