    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Right on man! Seriously, you don't know how much I appreciate it.

This shit is WAAAAAAY outside my wheel house. Not only the editing, but the photography in general, and "getting the shot."

I'm always the type to be driving or right in the middle helping... it's going to take some learning to be able to manage that WITH getting footage, but I think THAT is how we'll be able to improve quality. Jen is pretty much as committed as I am on this, she's gunna do a lot of camera swinging, to make this work.

I’m going to watch that on the big tv. I might switch my music from edm to something more on the metal side while on the trail. :transformer:

Never go wrong with old school metal. The bigger the obstacle the louder and angrier my selections get. If I'm in Johnson Valley it's Lamb of God and Slayer. lol

Hard to put I finger onmy favorite song on that album.

As far as I'm concerned, that was the Pinnicle of Metallica... then they cut their hair and turned in to some sellouts.

That is one of, like, 5 albums I could turn on, on track 1 and go through the whole thing.

    Somebody forgot about St Anger.

Probably because it's not worth remembering.

No wheeling recently, but I did do the night shift all week up on Highway 1 in Fort Bragg. Gives me a good excuse to get in some early morning walks around MacKerricher State Park and the local beaches. Headed up there again next week, and probably the following couple weeks, too.

    She's lookin pretty clean

    20220626_200111.jpg

Took apart the blower motor and vacuumed out the ducts. Cleaned out the condensation outlet. Seemed like it was backed up.

Think I need to get the A/C charged too.

Didn't really get shit else accomplished this weekend. This heat really fucked my plans.

I like how you can still hear trail sounds and the music at the same time.
A lot of instragram reels are some dumb sound bite or music. Personally, I like to hear the engine, rocks moving, sliders and skids banging ect over the music.

I'm enjoying your videos. I think I have day 4 to go. I've been watching them on my phone so I'm going to have to rewatch them on the tv.

Thanks man. I really appreciate it. I think you'll like Day 4 Part 1. Part 2 is good too, but I think Part 1 is the best edit I've done so far... which still probably leaves a lot of room for improvement left... lol. Part 1 took a while, I took 3 versions of a 2 and a half minute song, mixed them up, stitched them back together, added transitions and made a 15 minute long version of the song, that matches the video clips pretty well.

I definitely want to stay with the style of having the ambient sounds. To make it seem more like you're there, and in it. Jen doesn't like her voice in the videos, but she's just going to have to get used to it, because I like having her in there talking. She's definitely all the way in the action, and I want that to be obvious.

The music seems a little less overbearing when I'm actually doing the edit process in the program. On playback, though, I think it's just a little too much. I just need to tone the music track down a notch and leave the ambient sounds alone, so it brings them out just a bit more... but hell, if I learn one or two things every edit, eventually I might have something.

When they got sober the music took a hit. Kudos to them for getting healthy but I liked the music better when they were fucked up and pissed off.

Plus the fact that they are just getting old. And they have lost a step... ESPECIALLY Lars. He just doesn't have it anymore. Last time I saw Metallica live was damn near 20 years ago (holy shit, I just realized it was 20 years ago) They sucked so bad, we left halfway through their set.

Same concert... Powerman 5000, System of a Down, Kid Rock, Korn... they were all, straight, bad ass!
