Got out all week and did some things with some people, some dogs and some fish.

Ill be on snake lake trail next week, ill keep an eye out for that cement truck come the weekend.

Also ran into a comical occurrence today on the way home.

Ran into a family who... Well they did not belong that far from civilization, ill leave it there lol

But on my way out, well before the "air up spot" i came upon a family who was in a rental tacoma, brand new '22. Blew out the sidewall on the OEM tires... With a 2 year old and their elderly grandmother.

This poor guy didnt even know where to begin, or that there was even a spare.

So yeah, i changed their tire for them, made sure they were going to be ok and advised them not to tell the rental company where they were when it happened lol

A blown-out sidewall at Blown-Out Bowman? Hopefully the zippers on their tent held strong.

No wheeling this weekend, but I did get some swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and scrambling in.

That's part of the game. I haven't been out as much as I'd like this year but I've got some alpine trips planned for some Goldens the last two weekends of this month. I was up at Royce lakes last month and got skunked. Which really sucks for a 7.5 mile approach with 5000' of gain. lol

A few of us are running from Gold Lake to Deer Lake and then down to the Sierra Buttes Fire Lookout on 8/13. If you are still in the area of Snake Lake and want to join us let me know. Also please report back on how Snake Lake loop goes with the DCLB?

Our groups headed up to bald mountain this weekend did some wheeling and camping. Made it up to the tower and ended up camping at Dinkey creek. Here’s a recap video for anyone who is interested

I had a good weekend in the Downieville area. We drove up Friday and came back yesterday.
We drove through Gold Lakes 4x4 campground around 11pm. It was packed.

It was a pretty busy weekend there. Much busier than I'm used to.

I think it's because I tend to go in the late Fall when it's colder and there are fewer people.

Just posted this over in the Sacramento thread but this seems like the better place for it.

Camping, 4 wheeling, cliff jumping up in Nevada county. Jolly Boys Mine.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

DaVinci Resolve. That's what I use... Good program, but I already hate editing now lol. It takes for ever. I'm sure there's a bunch I don't know how to do on that program, that would make it way easier, lol.

I was thinking the same. On the other hand, they have several months to fix it and we could get to drive on new pavement on the way to the trails. Decisions, decisions.
