I’m hoping this dude and I can come to an agreement on his, we’re a little off on price but I think we’ll settle. 85 4Runner.
Then the 3rd gen will be permanently parked. Or I might take wheel the piss out of it one last time as a send off

Not sure if it’s been said, but even in exempt areas smog is required on transfer of title

so to bring it into the CA system it needs it

Yeah, sounds like I’ll need to smog it at least once regardless.

Going to call AAA tomorrow to confirm what’s been said here. Pending what they say, seller and I just agreed on a price. Hello soon to be overland crawler thing

On the topic of selling vehicles... does anyone know how to go about selling a vehicle in CA with a long-expired out-of-state registration? The lady's got a TJ in a storage unit that's never been PNO'd here, and we neither have the time to work on it or the space to keep it, and we really don't want to donate it to Kars4Kidz. Fuck that noise - whoever came up with that jingle should be killed.

Bringing it into California should give it a fresh start here, I don’t believe the other states fees carry into CA

I know! That makes it even worse :pout:

I really like how you did it too. I feel like when I wheel with my family it’s a race. Nobody stops, nobody spots, unless there’s breakage or someone is stuck.

To their credit, they have done that trail numerous time.

I might be interested in a Rubicon trip though… depending on the timing.

I think Rubi is out of reach for me this year. Fire first of all... but we also have trips planned to Red, Mirror, Coyote Lake. Then there's the Dardanelle trip with 4wd in Motion to close NRT. And I'm also entered in the Toyota show Oct 8... and I also have MASSIVE maintenance that needs to be done from all these trips.

I need to replace the rack bushings. One of the bolts came lose and now they've all been made hamburger. I've been running on 2 broken CVs since the last day of Dusy. And I need to do a good check of all the important bolts LCAs etc... and I'm passed due on an oil change lol.

I kind of like to stop to see the scenery, and hang out with friends... lol

It's half the reason for being there in the first place.

If you move quickly you have that much more time to spend with friends in camp.
