Same. I'm in the east bay so it's a drive for us as well and I honestly thought that it would be a one-time trip but having gone once, I couldn't wait to go back.

I actually have a rack that I bought from Hobbs manufacturing. He said it would fit my truck. It doesn’t. Wondering if it would fit a Tacoma.. looking for a rack!?!?! Looking for $250 for it.

For me, driving from Fremont where I work, Death Valley has the be at least a 5 day trip to be worth while. It’s drivable in less but there’s not much non-driving time.

But I’ve done a whole lot of camping and traveling all over the southwest in the last 18 months or so.

I’ve done a ton of driving and rarely camp in one place more than a day.

I want a better camping/hiking/biking:driving on the highway ratio.

So anything near a full days drive is less appealing.

When you’re young, leaving after work Friday and pulling into the driveway at midnight on Sunday was cool. Not so much now.

But Pinnacles is nearby. Harvey Bear, del Valle. All places near enough for a day or two.

Why not have multiple departure days.. And for those who leaves early and those who wish to stay longer...

    Exactly!

Hell, even a night at Hollister works in a jam. Especially of you can get there mid week. You can have the whole place to your self.

    Yeah sure, whatever works.

But for me personally it’s a much better trip with 5 days.
Also I usually go with one other truck or solo so other departure days haven’t really been something I’ve considered for a while.

    But yeah, good point.

Only if the shoe fits. But then how do you know I wasn’t referring to myself?

    It’s probably an orthopedic shoe.

Awesome...looks like we have 4 people so far. I'll ask around to see if we can get more. Btw, nice Evora. I had a Exige for a while and sold it a couple years ago.
