    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Second half of Day 4 on the Dusy/Ershim trail. The adventure continued.

After getting Charlie upright from his lost potato incident, we continued on. We encountered and down pour and thunder storm, a broken front leaf spring on Dion's rig, and driving in to the night to reach a proper campsite.

Go from Bodie to Chemung Mine, it's worth the trip. As others have said, go down 167 a ways and then turn into the sand for some nice spots.

I don't have a light bar but I do wheel fast and make it to camp with plenty of daylight left. Except Fordyce. I didn't even get to fish because we pulled in right at dusk. lol

Well, considering we encountered a roll over, broken front leaf spring, popped bead, and a down pour... making camp before dark was going to be a long shot.

If I were to get a new winch I think I would have to go with comeup. I’ve looked at them a few times over the years. But my smittybilt x20 10k does me just fine.

The last half of the last day of our adventure on Dusy/Ershim. It was finally time for me to pay up. Dusy demanded her toll for passage.

Went up to Signal Peak with @silvertep, @Sparky 97Runner, and @SwagThor on Saturday. I had always been under the impression it was just a fire road, but the Eagle Lakes side turned out to be a lot of fun, with a couple of solid optional obstacles. Also, the new pup behaved really well, especially considering we did the trail in full both ways (silvertep and I did a parts run to Truckee - he went on to Reno to find the tie rod while I returned to the trail with beer and sandwiches). She napped through all the bumps.

I was thinking of doing signal peak this weekend for the first time. How long did it take you guys to get up to the top?

Probably an hour from the Eagle Lakes side, and maybe 15 minutes from the Cisco Grove side.

Thanks for the info! Short trails are nice since I usually don't get consecutive days off. If anyone else wants to tag along I'm going to drive it on Saturday.

Probably worth noting that gas was something like $6.79 at Cisco Grove, so make sure to fill up elsewhere on the way to the trail.

Copy that. Tahoe area gas stations are brutal.

Signal peak was great, will get a vid up. Here is the tie rod that got me all the way to Sparks NV to find a spare. I've found out that O'Rileys always have the part on the phone, but never when you show up...

There is also a Napa in Truckee that is usually well stocked with Toyota and Subaru parts.
