I like it too, I just wish it wasn’t so far away. Nice place to camp compared to the snowed in Sierras though

Don't get me wrong, I love winter...but that looks damn nice right about now. Scared to see what that washout looks like on the way up next year, that trail might not be passable from Red Lake anymore.

This isn't locked yet? Guess I may as well post this here. We didn't get any wheeling in in December, but we did do some foreign fuckery, with a long layover in Frankfurt and a few days in Portugal.

    Frankfurt

Landed at the airport, dropped our carry-ons off at a luggage check, and took the train into town to check out the Christmas fair, Kaiser Dom Bartholomaus cathedral, and the Main Tower before flying out to Lisbon.

    Lisbon

After a late brunch, we spent the first day wandering along the Tagus River waterfront and the Belem and Chiado neighborhoods. I hate to admit it, but we even used electric scooters to get us to to Padrao Dos Descobrimentos and Belem Tower before they closed. Afterwards, we stopped at Cervejaria Ramiro for stone crab, prawns, barnacles, sea snails, and a damn good steak sandwich.

    Sintra

After another late start, we took the train out to historical Sintra to see the Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, and National Palace of Sintra. The sights were spectacular, even with the crazy weather. I definitely would love to go back at some point and see the views from the castle in daylight, because it has views to Pena Palace, and overlooks the old town and the National Palace. After heading back to Lisbon, we grabbed an awesome dinner at Cantinho Do Avillez before wandering around the Bairro Alto neighborhood for a nightcap.

    More Lisbon

On our last day in Portugal, we started off in the Chiado, checking out the Carmo Convent and picking up some Iberian ham, before making our way to Castelo Da Sao Jorge, where it was positively dumping. After taking a cab across town to Jeronimos Monastery... we found that, because the storms and flooding were getting to be so bad, all the government-run museums had closed early. Once the rain stopped, though, we headed out to the Time Out Market for a variety of food, "green" and Port wine, and to watch Argentina beat Croatia in the World Cup semi-final. Since our flight was early in the morning, we explored Bairro Alto and Chiado one last time (stopping for dessert and at several bars) before heading back to the hotel early in the morning to shower and pack.

    West Coastin'

We had a connecting flight to SFO at Munich, and, after basically running through the airport and security to get onboard, ended up being the last plane off the ground before the airport was closed for several hours due to freezing rain. Lucky! Due to storms, we flew up and over Germany and Denmark (covered with clouds), Norway (stunning glacial landscapes, but I was too tired to break out the camera - it very likely will be our next European trip, though), up and over Canada and down the West Coast. Caught some photos of Mt Hood, Crater Lake and Mt Scott, Mt McLaughlin and Upper Klamath Lake, Mt Shasta and Black Butte, and the Bay and Mt Diablo after waking up.

Location and dealer might help... did you buy it, or just considering it? Looks sick!
