2022 or 2023 Tacoma Platinum wishes……

It is still Friday for some of us.

Tundra and Sequoia have Limited and Platinum ….why not our Tacomas.
What wishlist features would we want on Platinum that goes beyond what Limited offers.

For me:
Built in mini beverage cool box in the armrest like Land Cruisers have.
360 degree cameras for …..why the hell not. Don’t need spotters for parking in the mall.
Cooled steering wheel button because too hot during our western heat waves.
Concierge button for when I fancy some nice expensive restaurants but I can’t be bothered with googling it myself.

What other fancy stuff we need ?

 

Heads-up display, rotate the steering wheel radio control 90 degrees, add more length to the steering wheel adjustment for us tall folks, magnetic ride control suspension, rear disk brakes, electric brakes for a true dynamic cruise control, drivers side oh-shit handle, double clutch automatic transmission, turbo or super charger, etc.

 

Magnetic ride control would be nice.

 

Sounds like you guys are designing a 60 grand Tacoma...

 

V8 like the Platinum

 

currently there's about $7k gap between limited and TRD Pro
Platinum can easily be slotted somewhere between that price spread
On top of a limited, just throw in ventilated seats, real wood trim, microfiber or alcantara headliner
I'd want that

 

in my rav, theres the digital mirror, pano sunroof, 360 birdseye, heated and cooled ventilated front and heated ventilated rear seats; all goodstuff. i dunno what all comes in the limited in the taco, but those would be prime if it was an option. also, not a limited option, but the 8spd auto is leagues ahead of whatever the taco can come up with. if manual trans is not an choice for some, something like that would be sick. not something quirky like what comes equipped in the taco now, and definately not no cvt like the direction toyota seems to be veering to more and more.

 

Adjustable seat bolstering, perhaps? I have wide hips and the trend toward sporty, bolstered seats is not one that I find overly comfortable. I drove my friend's Mini for about 4 hours today and my lower back sure let me know it once I stepped out.

 

Less than 5 grand between the 2 models:
2021 Limited 4x4 DCSB = $42,230
2021 TRD Pro DCSB = $47,030

 

for some odd reason I always thought TRD Pros are 50k, I stand corrected

 

The way things have been going over the last year it seems like they mark everything up anyways.

 

Yes panoramic would be great!
I bought my off-road without sunroof because I wanted to get a custom panoramic installed.

 

A truck that doesn’t smoke when wheeling off-road at certain inclines.

 

Crotch coolers, no gas cap fill, an audio system that doesn't sound like it came out of a base Kia from ten years ago

 

At least get a mark levinson system like Lexus has.
