2022 SR 4X4 V6 keyless entry, adding lockable tailgate with oem key fob

After looking at window stickers on a many 2022 Tacoma SR 4x4 v6, i was Looking for the specified "keyless entry", called and talked to a few different salesmen, no one had answers!
I bought a SR on Jan 1st and was delivered today (1-15), to answer the question, yes it has the keyless entry fob built into the key, BUT it doesn't lock the tailgate.
So i bought the oem "Amazon" 152.00 wire & lock solenoid kit, took about 1 hour to fully install.
Keep tailgate from being stolen or locking up your stuff under a tonneau cover.

Could you confirm what your Window Sticker is? I am in the same boat where I'm looking to buy the 22 Tacoma, SR 4x4 Double Cab, 5ft bed, V6, with no Convient Package. Neither Toyota's "Build Tool" nor the people at the dealership know why the Convenience Package disappears in the configuration yet the spec itself says option. It's hard to think I'm spending this much on a truck and no option to get keyless.

 

On my window sticker it didn't have any added packages, just OEM predator step tubes (which I don't want) & will sell!
bed mat & bed lights, tonneau cover, floor mats and sill protectors which all that was acceptable.

What i have gathered thru my research on tw and internet sales, is the v-6 4x4 adds the keyless door locks, heated mirrors and a few other little things.

I was scared as well when I put my name on one. something like 2020 or 2021 model year the double cab sr 4x4 comes standard with keyless... they just don't talk about it for some reason. took me hours to find a video where one person confirmed it.

 

I think with the new "fancy" keyless fob and push button start, remote start and all the added stuff that goes with new technology, they just don't mention the standard key/fob combination. I prefer my key fob, works at 100+ feet away, no issues!

 

I have a Avalon and I definitely prefer the new push button. its nice not having to take the keys out. I loose them a lot less! but I choose SR as it has all the features I want and these trucks are already over priced.

 

Mind sharing the part number for the tailgate lock?
