Hey everyone. I know, sorry for another tire size thread but will 265/70/R16's fit without any issues on the stock suspension and rims? My SR5 is 4x2 and came with Firestone 245/75R16's and I would like to replace them with a little beefier tire. Looking at the Michelin LTX defenders since it's street use only.

I searched the forums but most threads are around lifted or 4x4's suspensions.

    Thanks.

Your stock 4x2 suspension is the same as a stock 4x4 suspension. Everything that is applicable to a stock 4x4 is applicable to you. Now go read all of those threads over again.

    You're welcome.

Both sizes are the same diameter.
You can put 265/75/16 and 255/85/16 without issues

If you’re looking at getting the Defender LTX the biggest you can go is 265/75r16. The biggest you can go on stock suspension is 255/85r16 but Michelin does not make tires in that size.
