2022 sr5 came with red accent stitching

I guess it looks ok, but a bit plain if you like the way interiors looked 20 years ago.

 

I didn't want to comment before, because there was no use in making you feel even worse, but now that you've fixed it: those red accents are hideous. IMO, it would have affected your ability to sell. They look great with what you've done.

 

Regarding the red accent stitching.....

Do any come with just the stitching on seats, WITHOUT part of the dash and door panel being red??

 

Toyota doesn't do "orders" You put money down thinking you're ordering something specifically made for you, and then they say it's here, and when they tell you a different price than what you "ordered" you go WTF?
Depending on the dealer, they'll start emailing or calling you to let you know they have something coming in, and you get first dibs, it's close but so and so is different. I hate that they do that.

In any case, I'd have dealer sort it out, but you might be waiting more.
I don't mind the red, but I would not have picked it up.

 

Feel the exact same way. The stitching looked good, but not the door panels. JMO though. As they say, there's an ass for every seat.

What was Toyota smoking when they did this?

 

Definitely smoking something. And from what I’ve been able to find out you can’t order it like this. It’s all random. I’ve seen red, the inferno orange and tan. I got a steal deal on mine back on October. Also mine was supposed to have steel wheels and I got some black alloy wheels at no cost. When they checked into that they were told that the Baja plant does random stuff like that from time to time. Must be smoking it up on the assembly line.
