Hey guys - I am a long time Honda guy and new to Toyota. I just picked up my 1st Tacoma (2022 SR5 Double Cab). It does have CarPlay support.

I have seen posts about a maintenance app with Toyota Entune? I believe that app was the old software on early 3rd gens? The Toyota app is installed on my phone but not particularly useful in my opinion. It shows me the mileage and gas, seems pointless?

I am surprised I see no tire pressure, oil life, maintenance app on the radio, etc. I did find the settings on the steering wheel to rest the maintenance light when it comes on at 5k miles. I was curious since it's an SR5 if it's considered 'bare bones' and you do not get any information (tire pressure, oil life, etc) other than the maitencance required idiot light?

    Thanks!

I have a 2016 sr5 and I have tps. I would image you need to look in the info center through the steering wheel selector

My app, when it was activated, would show me tire pressure too. Mine is a 2021 SR5 Trail edition dual cab short bed.

That's crazy man. I guess I've been taking it for granted. I thought everyone could just scroll through the gauge cluster using the steering wheel and see their tire pressure values. Based on my settings, I just press the right arrow on the steering wheel once, and then I press the down arrow once or twice and I can see the pressure of all of my tires with numerical values.

Finally found it. It's on the pitch and roll screen like three down. Which is annoying because to get there it displays the nanny warning you have to dismiss.

    It's there by Federal law.

Irrelevant but since you brought it up.. I'm pretty sure it isn't federal law for the vehicle to be able to display actual pressure readings. Just a warning that a tire is low.

^^This. It's called the TREAD Act. It requires vehicles under 10,000 lbs to be equipped with a TPMS that issues a warning when a tire is underinflated by 25% or more from the vehicle's recommended cold tire pressure, and also requires to warn when the TPMS malfunctions. It does not require actual tire pressures to be displayed, although most cars I've been in do make that data available to the driver.

Thanks, all! I found the tire pressure on the display on the SR5. It was one arrow over (Right) and press down on the steering wheel buttons.

As for the maintenance app, my question was from this article where he mentions maintenance app in this picture? My 'apps' button looks nothing like this one.

    Mine looks like this:
