So i camped in the wrong spot around merrit lake and received a $99 ticket from the nice Wash DNR ranger. For the BDR route will we require any passes, etc that need to be bought? Note i have an America the beautiful pass.

I will never camp on DNR land because I refuse to buy a pass to use my public land. If they need money to maintain it, sell some god damn trees off.

That sucks, sorry to hear. America the beautiful is federal land, discovery pass is for state land and I’m pretty sure it is required on the WABDR although a couple years back when I did it I never got stopped or asked for it.

    Hanging out on Mars.

Rode too close to a wildfire a bunch of years ago. The deep red day light was surreal. Getting out of it, the blueness was striking also.

I think they closed the road not long after we got through?

it's archery deer right up until muzzleloader deer on the 24th. while I'm not yet proficient with my bow I'm leaning towards spending the week scouting before muzzleloader season. And I still have a couple necessary truck fixes.

I might be in the section 4-5 area at the time the group goes through. I'll try to check this thread and will have my radio on 16. Don't wait on me though lol. I'll either post here or just sit on the trail waiting for you.

    anyone have an InReach device?

You guys will need to drive all the way around though naches/Yakima (or find connecting FS roads to bethel ridge).

Have fun out there and let me know if I need to change the schedule/coordinates.
