I drive 100-150 miles a day round trip to work depending where we are. Should be a cake walk compared to a normal work week.:spending:

Does anyone have any issues with starting this on section 2 and skipping section 1?

6112's/5160's with Deaver stage 3, GFC camper, Evo 10S and home-built bed drawers. Solar w/100 Ah battery.
I will also be looking for a camp spot on the 9th, would love to hear some suggestions. Free and somewhat remote is preferred, be great to meet up with some of the group the night before we leave.

So looking at the itinerary will we be staying reasonably together as a group (visual range allowing for extra space for dust as needed?) so the pace is pretty well set be the slowest person. Or is it more go at your own pace and arrive at the rendezvous point at the allotted time?

I just finished a group run through eastern Seirra's where we all stayed stayed together so travelled at pace of slowest, this worked fine BTW.

Not suggesting changing current plans, I just don't recall seeing it specified.

    Regards

Roll through as a group but spaced out enough so it’s safe. Wait for the guy behind you at the turns ect.

Pretty much this. Nothing is set in stone though which is why I included geo coordinates, that way people can come and go as they please

My family pulled a quick one on me and are now visiting that weekend instead of Labor Day. I was hoping this trip played out heavier on the second weekend of the 10-18 dates. If it works for most, stay the course.

I'll probably join you all in Ellensburg before Lion's Rock if these dates hold.

When I ran it last year, our rule of thumb was space out as much as you want unless there's a turn or intersection, then you wait for the person behind you, so on and so forth, that way no one misses the turn. Take a break every once in a while to consolidate the convoy, especially if there's an exceptional view.

The dust is pretty awful, so running tight just means no one can see shit and you clog up all your filters.
