He is going to have aluminum without ribs.

The ribs are really only needed if you are going to be doing hard core off-roading.

When I realized that my 2006 Tacoma is an easy target, I was doubtful at first about going with a cat shield. But when I found out the cost of repairs and downtime, I bought a cat shield and installed it myself and had an alarm system installed with extra sirens and it's LOUD. So far so good, now with the price of gas over $5.00 my next project is a shield for the gas tank. Doing nothing and hoping that nothing is going to happened is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. I'm too old to be kicking myself in the butt, I'm for doing something, at least I know I tried. Hey does anyone know where I can get a fuel tank shield like the cat shields?

I thought about buying the gas tank skid too. But since there are still open areas to drill into the plastic gas tank, I did not make it a priority.

I did buy a STANT locking gas cap and holder. Apparently, thieves aren't siphoning gas out nowadays...they are pouring sugar or other substances to ruin the fuel lines.

One could get anxiety trying to develop ways to secure our vehicles--that's what I discovered was happening to me. lol

Not just the Cats, a idiot can cut through cables and lines when in a hurry. If someone looks under my truck, I want them to see my MillerCat SS and think about moving to an easier target.

Installing a MillerCat on my truck this afternoon.
I’m not worried about someone grabbing my cat while I’m parked at home. It’s for the times when I park away from home, especially the big city.
I’m taking the truck on a road trip to NM and CA soon, and do not want to have to worry about by cat getting stolen while I’m parked in town or at a hotel somewhere.

Same here with being worried about location.

Traveling to Philly or Baltimore gets me worried too.

I'm from LA so knowing what I've seen in that Big City...I can say, you're making a good decision if you're traveling there.

Does anyone know how much you can get for a converter? I have heard about these thefts for a long time and it really seems like a hard way to make money... are they really that valuable?

I have the 2 lower cats off of our 2nd gen that we took off when we did our equal length Y pipe build. would they be worth scrapping?

I'm trying to find info about removing CATs...and I would guess it's illegal but can't see where it states that.

Obviously, the engine sounds louder and there's more power...which is probably why people remove them.

I'm not familiar with selling CATs but I would sooner avoid removing them so as not to have to get rid of them.
