Thanks for the link. One of my hobbies is flashlights, so I am familiar with the pros/cons of various types of bulbs, and the reflectors and heat sinks that are required for them to work properly. In a Jeep I had, (worst factory headlights ever), the JW Speaker Headlight swap was great. They are a full new headlight, so all those "upgrade" concerns were not an issue. With Taco's, not being a nice simple round headlight assembly, upgrading isn't all that easy.

Have LED lights in our Macan, those things are amazing, but do have their shortfalls too ( ie did freeze over on a trip to Edmonton, and they do have a very distinct flat beam cut-off so as to not blind oncoming traffic, BUT, that sucks as going down a hill off road, you can't see very far in front.

My tundra has full led and there is an adjustment wheel on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash that adjusts their height. Now Toyota can do that on an archaic tundra, why not on a relatively new Tacoma design

if they were like $1,000 or so from Toyota I’d just buy a set. But they are like $2,600 on eBay with import fees.
Toyota does so many things between Canada and the USA it doesn’t make sense.

Maybe a fog or driving light or light bar would work for less $$.

What do you all think of the wrangler territory tires in the snow/ice? I've been debating getting a set of duratracs but there's not enough snow here to tell how well the factory tires perform.

I hear people complain about them but I’m running them for awhile and will see for myself how they do

When I ordered mine dealer agreed to hold the trade in value until the Pro arrived given we come back in similar condition and certain kms on the ODO. Shouldn't be an issue for you to do the same.

I had the previous version of those on my 2017 OR and after 1 winter I got proper snow tires. I found the Wranglers be no better than all seasons that come on a typical sedan or minivan.

I would do All Terrains for summer and dedicated winters for winter if you have lots of snow/ice where you live and drive in an urban setting. If you live outside the city and deal with mostly snow, all terrains might be ok.

Personally... the process of the build is half the fun! Making the truck exactly what you want/need it to be is what it's all about. While a pro would be nice for sure, I think any truck will have something you don't like and things that should be upgraded. Embrace the build!! That's what I'm doing.

Or go pro and start at the top. Cause that would be cool to if you could! Just more costly I think. Food for thought, and it's just my opinion. As long as you like the truck, then go with it.

Yes, agreed if they were a reasonable price here. Don't trust Ebay and anything legit imported from the States is expensive as well. One dealership in Alberta'a price. Yikes!Screenshot from 2021-12-19 16-09-13.jpg

I will be putting Duratracs on my 22 TRD OR DCSB whenever it comes in. Have them on my Colorado and I love those tires in the snow even better than my old BFGs.

Just found the Canadian waiting list.

17 Dec I put a request and $500 deposit down at my local Toyota dealer (Petawawa, ON) for a 2022 TRD Sport DCLB but have since requested to change to a TRD OR DCSB. I initially wanted the LB but can't sacrifice diff lock. Besides I have a trailer for my shit anyways.

The dealer said 'Mid January'for delivery on the TRD sport but I still haven't received an estimate on the TRD OR. The only response I have is simply it will take longer. Today I did find a TRD Offroad Premium in Blue Crush in stock but I want MGM and am not keen on a Sun Roof or Leather (personal preference).

Anyone else in the area waiting?

    Good luck to everyone waiting.

Been debating all day on tires, think I'm just going to bite the bullet and get some 265/75R16 duratracs.

I do a lot of ice fishing, so any advantage driving out on the lake is more than welcome.

Can't wait to get on the big lakes man. Duratracs are sick tires I'll be putting some on the truck asap when it arrives (whenever that is...)

Are you guys still waiting for things to freeze up? We've been lucky to have the fishing season going for the last month or so. Love the hardwater season.

Just the small water bodies here so far. I was out a couple weeks ago too but that warm stretch ruined it for a bit.

The dealer gave me a very good price for my OR ( a fair bit more than I paid for it), so moving up to the Pro is looking like a good option for me. ( ie would be cheaper for me than if I had bought the Pro last year instead of my OR. ie save 3% sales tax, and what they offered for mine was more than I paid. So that covers the price increase in the Pro from 2021 to 2022).

Almost wishing they had offered me less for my truck

Holy hell! Used trucks are an intense market right now... that sounds like a sweet deal. I would have gotten a pro but they said there wasn't any left, so I got a sport and decided to go from there. If the price is right then that sounds pretty awesome!
